I was really happy with how simple the whole booking process was. I found the RV I wanted quickly, the dates lined up perfectly, and checkout was smooth with no stress at all.

"No surprise fees, thank goodness"
The pricing was actually really easy to understand, and the breakdown made sense before I got there. When I picked it up, there weren’t any weird extra fees tacked on, which was a relief. Good overall. i was ready to be annoyed, but nope, everything was fine

"We rented from Cruise America for a..."
We rented from Cruise America for a week, for what we needed, it ended up being a good deal. The RV definitely wasn’t fancy, and you could tell it had been used by plenty of people before us, like little scuffs and signs of wear here and there, but nothing that really affected the trip. It drove fine, the basics worked, and it gave us a place to sleep, cook simple meals, and keep moving without having to unpack at a different hotel every night.
The main thing I’d say is to really read through the fees before you book, because the total can creep up if you’re not paying attention to mileage, generator use, supplies, and all those little extras. Even with that, it still came out cheaper than hotels would have been for our route, especially since we were covering a lot of ground. Pickup and drop-off were also smooth, not perfect or super luxurious, but easy enough that I’d consider doing it again for a simple road trip.

"Decent trip, but the extra fees were annoying"
The trip itself was actually fine, but the fees really rubbed me the wrong way. I wasn’t expecting all these extra charges to pop up, and it kind of put a damper on the whole experience. Like, just be upfront about the total cost from the start instead of making people feel blindsided later.

"Pickup was fine, just not as smooth as I expected"
Pickup was okay overall, but it definitely took longer than I thought it would. We had a set time and still ended up waiting around for a while, which was a little frustrating, especially because we were trying to keep the rest of the day on schedule. The staff were friendly enough, so I don’t want to make it sound like they were rude or anything. Once we finally got going, the paperwork and walkaround felt a bit rushed, like they were trying to make up for the delay. The RV itself was mostly ready, though I did notice a few little things that made the process feel less organized, like having to recheck where certain items were and not getting a super clear rundown at first. Not a bad experience, but I think the check-in could use a little more structure

"Insurance was fine, but way more stressful than expected"
I rented from Cruise America and added the insurance because I was trying to avoid any last-minute surprises. It seemed to cover the basic stuff, but the wording was confusing, and even at pickup I still wasn’t totally sure what was included. That added a little unexpected stress when I just wanted to get on the road. The trip itself went fine, but I really wish they explained the coverage more clearly

"We picked up the RV sometime in..."
We picked up the RV sometime in early July, I think, or maybe it was the end of June, and I remember being kind of nervous about the bathroom. But it was way better than I expected. The toilet was clean, there wasn’t any weird smell, and the shower worked just fine. That was one of the things I was most worried about, but it ended up being totally fine.

"Dropping off the RV wasn’t terrible..."
Dropping off the RV wasn’t terrible, but it definitely took longer than I thought it would. There was only one person checking vehicles back in, and a few of us were just standing around waiting, which was frustrating after a long trip.

The staff member was nice enough and did explain the extra charges, but I had to ask twice about the deposit and when I should expect to get it back. That part could have been clearer from the start.

Overall, it was fine, just not very smooth or organized. Given the wait and the confusion around the charges and deposit, I’d expect some kind of small compensation or credit for the hassle.

"Customer service was okay, but not great"
They did help me in the end, so I’ll give them credit for that, but the replies took longer than I expected. For me, decent customer service should feel a bit more responsive, so overall it was just okay

"Water system was easy and reliable"
We rented from Cruise America and the water system worked great the whole week. I was a little nervous about the plumbing at first, but everything was super straightforward. The sink, shower, and toilet all worked like they should, and the hot water came on quickly. No leaks, no weird smells, no issues at all. It definitely gave us more confidence in the RV and made the trip feel a lot easier.

"Kept Me Warm When It Got Cold"
I used this heater on a few chilly nights and it did the job well. Nothing fancy, but it kept the room warm and I didn’t have any real problems with it. Then again, I was mostly just happy not to be freezing.

"Good trip overall, but the gas bill stung"
We rented from Cruise America for a week, the RV itself was fine. Nothing fancy, but it did the job and we didn’t run into any major problems. The part that really bothered me was the fuel cost. I knew it wasn’t going to get great mileage, but we were stopping for gas way more often than I expected, and it definitely pushed the trip over what we had budgeted. The service was okay, not bad, not especially warm either. Overall, I’d say it was a decent experience, but the poor mpg made it feel less worth it than I hoped

"RV was in good shape"
We had a good trip with this RV. Everything worked like it should, the tires looked almost new, and the engine ran smooth the whole time. You can tell it’s been kept up good, no real issues for us at all.

"AC works when it wants to"
We rented from Cruise America for a weeklong trip, and the AC was hit or miss. It seemed to work okay while we were driving, but once we were parked at camp, it had to run forever and the back still stayed warm. It wasn’t completely awful, but in the summer I definitely expected it to cool better than that.

"Nice newer RV in solid shape"
We rented from Cruise America and honestly... the RV was in better shape than I was expecting. It wasn’t brand new or anything, but it also didn’t feel worn out. The inside was clean, the seats were comfortable enough, and overall it seemed like it had been taken care of well.
There were a few little scratches on the outside, but I mean... that’s normal for a rental RV. It drove well, felt safe the whole time, and we didn’t have any real issues. Overall, I was really happy with the condition.

We picked up our Cruise America RV and it was actually way cleaner than I expected. The floors, seats, and bathroom all looked really good, which made the whole trip feel nicer right from the start

"We rented from Cruise America again because..."
We rented from Cruise America again because we’ve had solid experiences with them before, so I was kind of expecting to feel good about this one too. The RV was a decent size overall and got us through the trip, but the inside layout felt tighter than I hoped. The beds were fine, but once the kids and bags were all in there, moving around got cramped quickly. The kitchen worked for what we needed, though the counter space was limited. I still trust Cruise America and would probably rent from them again, but this particular setup wasn’t my favorite...

"Booking matched what I expected"
Everything was exactly as I booked it, which I appreciate. To be fair, I didn’t have any special requests or complications, but what was promised was what I got, and that’s all I really needed...

"RV ran great the whole trip"
We rented from Cruise America for a week. The RV ran fine the whole time. No mechanical problems at all. It started every morning. The brakes felt good. No strange noises. The inside wasn’t fancy, but it drove solid. It got us where we needed to go without any stress.

"Engine handled the whole trip like a champ"
I was happy with how the engine did on the trip. We hit a few hills that I thought might slow things down a bit, but it pulled through better than I expected. No issues the whole way, which made the drive a lot more relaxing.
